I agree. I actually read the WHOLE first post of the thread in just over a minute or two, and have to agree with some things. I am not much myself of a prog fan, I miss and love to death the late 1990s style of trance. It's a shame ... its true that a large chunk of trance thats being talked about on this site should belong in that progressive addict website forum. For example, I can't stand techno. In my opinion it sounds like horrible noise. What I do understand is that there are a lot of techno fans, who think the music is great. I am not going to sit there and bash it, simply because it isnt my style of music. I respect the style, but I just dont choose to listen to it.
