I'm the Official TA McDonald's Spokesman!
Alright, since I am probably the only TA around who works at McDonald's, I am more than happy to claim this title. Any McDonald's related questions, talk to me.
Yes, I love breakfast myself, I eat it several times a week. Egg McMuffins, bagels, burritoes, hashbrowns - you know it. I dont like the Sausage though!

THAT MOVIE SUCKED ASS. I WORK AT MCDONALD'S, SO I KNOW BETTER. That so called "documentary" is COMPLETELY ONE-SIDED. I love McDonald's, and that video was bullshit. I know more than the people who made the movie, I've been employee of the month, I covered managers' shifts, I know the score.
Consider this - why blame McDonald's for being overweight, when noone is forcing you to go eat there? I worked at McD for over 14 months, I LOST WEIGHT SINCE I STARTED WORKING THERE, and I eat McDonald's food ALMOST EVERY F'NING DAY! I eat lots of food there, from salads, to burgers, to ice cream.
The only food I cant eat (its just plain disgusting to me) is sausage, DOUBLE BIG MAC AND DOUBLE QUARTER POUNDER - I cant stomache all that meat, it will make me puke!
If you have slow metabolism, then EAT CAREFULLY! McDonald's offers a big range of food to fit everyone!

McDonalds breakfast is wayy to greasy to be running all-day.
They could not maintain it, atleast with that line of staff. |
When I work breakfast, I make sure the customers get the good food.
My policy is "If I wouldn't eat, then the customer will NOT eat it." I tend to mostly serve fresh products, as I work mostly in the kitchen.
McDonald's food is not THAT greasy, there's a reason why its oily, but that oil (called shortening) is what makes it taste so good!
The things I STRONGLY suggest for TAs not to eat at McDonalds' are:
Fries (bad for your cholesterol)
Double Big Mac / Double Quarter pounder - too much meat/fat.

Try that with anything and you'll have problems. | As I said earlier, that movie is a complete brainwasher. Yes, it does have some great points, but as to what you said in above post, listen to THIS FACT FROM ME:
I worked at McDonald's for almost 15 months. I eat different McDonald's food AT LEAST 5.5 DAYS A WEEK since I STARTED WORKING THERE, I lost weight, I feel good, and I like the food there!
So much for that 30 days crap.
However, if you take a COMPLETELY HEALTHY PERSON who ALWAYS eats healthy foods and then put him for one month to eat double big macs double quarters ALL MONTH, WHICH I PERSONALLY MYSELF CANT EAT, that healthy person's body will not be able to easily change to new atrocious eating habits like those. It's complteley stupid and disgusting.

how part of the grain/mashed up stuff they feed the cows is left over meat from the cows, & dead pigs & chicken all mushed together...
and think those chickens & pigs died from eating shit..
so like the book says..
if you eat something.. and u don't feel that great.. and you kind of feel like shit.. well that's because you actually are eating shit, in a non direct sort of way
BON APPETIT! |
If you think thats disgusting, then you should know that most of processed foods that you find in store shelves have bad chemicals added to them, like the halmful Monosodium Glutamate (MSG), aspartame, sodium nitrite, etc. - a big list. There are lots of foods worse out there.
But yes, it is disgusting to eat those nuggets after finding out where they come from, yes I agree with you on that one. Poor chickens and those overfed fat cows ... ewwww. Think about where all your milk and meat comes from then!!!!
