i read a short story about threesomes in Playboy a few months ago.
basically the moral of the story was that if you're interested in having a threesome, hire an escort... because you "pay them to leave", rather than facing the awkward aftermath of a drunken sloppy hookup with someone you know. it also prevents any emotional attachment between the couple and the third wheel.
