hmm it looks like they were ranked #17 on the latest arbitron list of Miami FM stations.... any station with numbers that low has a limited life... its too bad it wasn't better run - when I was in Miami a few weeks ago, I kept hearing the same 10 songs over and over on it. They were playing Tiesto's Traffic like it was the current #1 or something.

damn that sucks. as horrible as it was sometimes, it was still better than half the other stuff played on the radio. i was just jamming to markus last night on the global dj broadcast. then i just got in my car and heard staind playing on the station.

I don't believe this. I thought rock was over when ZETA switched but 3 days later it just seemed to move. This would be a dumb move right before conference.

I still have some hope. As gay as the station might be, hearing the cheesy tunes once in a while wasn't so bad.
Atleast it was some type of EDM on the radio.

Anyways. Grooveradio was the best!!! I remember discovering the station a lil before going into highschool :: tear :: Props to Eric on that one

yeah.. they sure pumped up the dance music industry here in South FL, and it sure did give a new spectrum of music to the masses .. which is better then having everyone brainwashed with popish rock and Hip hop and all the other stuff.. RIP to the 4th of July shows.

Man this sucks!! I was hoping it was all a dream... i dropped off my friend earlier tonight and i stop the cd and check out 93.1 to see what's happening at MIA, and I hear rock.. and i'm like, ok maybe the dj is playing this at MIA, ha ha how funny, let's wait for the bass to kick in... and nothing happens, i look at the LCD and it says "93.1" and in my head i go "Party 93.1" I'm like, ok someone switched the wires by mistake at that little building on I-95, and then the worst thing ever, a station ID "Rock 93.1, Latino and Lovin It!" AHHHH, i switch around and Y-100 sounds like crap and 94.9 Is some "Mega 94.9 Spanish Shit". This is a sad day. Sort of reminds me when a very popular Toronto EDM station back in 1999 changed its format to country and was called "The Kats". How was 93.1 at #17? wow, that bad...

I read what you guys are writing, pirate station.. yea i guess you can try for that, but that's very hard and sounds like pure crap. I used to have a show on NSU Radio X 88.5FM, we shared it with some highschool because seriously every single frequency in MIAMI-DADE-BROWARD area is flat out TAKEN. (http://listen.to/eurobeats was the show's website, archives are still on )

Ok this is a sad day miami WTF. Any protests planned? Seriously, a huge protest to bring back _an_ EDM channel ;-)
