Did he say it was? And the question was "how big is trance in Europe?", not "how big is trance in this and that European country?".

WTF then does he know about Eeaster Europe. I'm from Eastern Europe
and yes there is EDM music here.
I don't even have to go to a club I go to a mall here in my town
and this fucking designer clothing store has a dj that plays trance
while I shop for shoes. And nobody cares...

They don't even have that in the states. Only hip hop so I would
say its bigger here also.

re

depends where in the states I've been to detroit and san fran
ok I agree I haven't been anywhere but I spend there like
6 months and o man... what a lack of EDM.... And anyone
I met there that was into EDM were E kids and raver freaks..
Maybe that's stereotyping but over the new years in all of san
fran in 2003 there was like 0 good parties. I know all the ppl
went away during this time but so what... being a university town and all

We had to go to nevada for a cracked out rave ... that's all.

If you aren't down with WALMART...

If you aren't in a big city in the US, your exposure to culture of any kind is severely limited. (Trust me, I live in LA but am from a town of 4,000 people near Pittsburgh) This country is HUGE, with a billion tiny towns in-between the large cities, and each has its own culture (and accent). But EVERYTHING is culture and exposure, or lack thereof... and even THEN there is no accounting for taste.

Trance isn't as big in the US as in Europe because you cannot like what you've never heard. The US floats in a huge sea of popular culture. I went back home a month ago, and no one knew what Trance was. Maybe 5 or 6 teenagers in the whole town. But that is just my experience...

I am not afraid to laugh when someone talks negative about the trance scene here.

trance in the uk is definatly on the downturn, i can honestly say hand on heart of the random people ive met or bumped into in real life (outside of a club) none of them have said they like trance. all the people i either know from TA or have met in clubs so they dont really count when you are thinking of random people off the street.
