everyone is saying, get new friends, get new friends, but for some people it doesnt quite work that way. most of today's teens in particular are so sucked-in by mainstream radio that when you try to prove to them what real EDM music is they just call it techno.

when something like this happens to you, and you tell them that Trance, Progressive, and House are all different genres and they say "whatever dude, its all the same" just tell them calling all electronic music the same is like calling Hip-Hop, Rap, & Reggae the same thing, or Rock, Metal, and Country are the same thing.

a lot of it has to do with environment... lasers, fog, dark, etc.

i mean i listen to it outside of a club atmosphere but to get someone hooked on it bring them to an event - they'll understand that it's not just music it's a whole culture
