Seeing the current list, however, does raise an important point. While we may want to compile a list of the top tunes of 94 on, we are still looking at it from the present rather than what actually was popular in those years. We may look back and feel such tracks like Cafe del Mar were great, even important, tracks that helped shaped trance into what it's become a decade later, but they were by no means popular at all.

As such, you'd probably see such cuts like Jam & Spoon's Right In The Night, tracks that had crossover appeal, topping Best Of 94 lists.

Exactly, that was the idea behind it, not to see if we could remember what tracks were big back then, but looking at them now. So do any mods or anyone think they would like to take on the challenge of running this thing? I would, but with midterms and stuff going on right now I don't really have the time.

i dont mind doing it in a suggestions type format (i dont plan on listing a few hundred tracks all by myself).

but id want to start it up with 1987. and one poll per year, one poll at a time

I hope youve been here longer than just a day, which your profile says, and have just made a new name, or else I have no idea how you could know such a thing. And you're right, i mean, how else could we get the TOTY polls done for the last 3 years

If we do that, then I say we re-do the current list as well. After all, I'm sure hindsight will give us a better result than As The Rush Comes.

Excellent point, I know I'd like to see something else have the title of track of the year for 2003. Id also like to see The World Doesn't Know have the title for 04, but doesnt look like that would happen, but id be happy to see a revote for all the years.
