ooh i love this topic

My dream house will have a Japanese garden in the front complete w/ a pond full of coy and bonsai trees up the whole path leading to the front door with rice paper lamps too. As far as the inside goes…definitely modern, but not like museum art deco modern…the only wood I like is extremely dark, like walnut with cream or white and then lots of other colors like turquoise or dark purple and red.

This is a good idea of what I like as far as the white w/ the dark wood trim, but I think this room needs more colors. I think a big oil painting on canvas w/ lots of colors and colored throw pillows on the couches would make it more my style.

i love this too with the fuscia rug...this would be the ultimate bachelorette pad

these sliding japanese style doors into the master bedroom are sick too...not the bedroom, just the doors.

and this bathroom represents my taste too

i really like that first picture and those sliding doors slylee...good stuff. i don't really like the ultra modern stuff, but i definitely like modern elements and i also like the whole zen japanese garden stuff hehehe...so cool.

i wish i could find a picture of the type of bed i want...i don't really want something like the pic i posted...what i really want is a badass platform bed...but i can't seem to find the kind i want so i want to try and build the frame sometime.

but anyway...i have this friend who is a girl and she looks through magazines and shit and when she finds something she thinks is really cool or would like something similar to, she cuts it out and keeps it in like a scrap book so she'll remember it. i've been thinking of starting to do something similar to that...even though its completely girly haha...simply because i'll see stuff all the time that i'll like, but then i'll always forget about it...just a thought for those of you that like this kinda stuff hehehe

It's a good idea but I wouldn't go openly admitting that I do it

Sidetrackin a bit, but Caffeine's this weekend and would be well worth the trip down from Ft. Collins.

I'm actually with Jason on liking the first picture. I wouldn't have expected to like it, because I think of the Japanese as more modern. My mom's an interior designer and has rubbed off on me a bit, but her style is much more old fashioned.

I guess I'm the only one here who wants a racecar bed.
