that was fun. thanking the TA lads for the time!
As for Fortier, I actually enjoyed how he emerged with a few funky tunes. Far from the hand-baggy i thought. Subtle vocals with back-stage like grooves. I've yet to listen to his balance release, but I'm sure the set was an intimate in-depth elaboration, of his experimental, but strong views on the direction of progressive music - "What the fuck is progressive?"
Such an array, such an arsenal. So many tunes, so many funny feelings. I rode on beams of light with climatic build-ups, and leaped out from boxes "jack" jumped from with cheeky analog melodies. I felt vibrations, grooved with minimalastic basslines, perspired beads of sweat, and shared moments with like-minded souls. I cant say I dug the upbeat meaty tech 3-3.5 hours in though, twas just not me
And SQ-K, that remix was Jacques Lu Cont's Thin White Duke remix. I heard it on the radio on the trip back home. Needless to say, an hr later, i secured a copy online.
so much fucking fun, Infusion, I think I'll come!
though i hear gav keitel mixes like a one-armed ass jockey. true?
