Well I got my tickets from a local bar in the end

Had a wicked time, managed to catch Armin, Ferry and PVD, all superb. Missed Tiesto and Oakey due to talking codshit to some random chicks. Good location and 50,000 people apparently, I even saw some canadian flags being waved at the front of the tent

It was a blast!!! well worth it!

Seen Yoji Biomehanika after he turned up late, He defo is the master! (Also got a pic and autograph with him), Carl Cox, PVD, Jules, Tiesto and Eddie Halliwell to name a few. All pure quality!!

The main problem was that you was lost for choice on which arena to go in with the all the dj's times clashing!

Will upload some pics tommorow ......

Did the bars shut earlier this year or was it me ?

was a great event, setup was awesome... much better than last years in that department. spent most of my time in the main arena with a few hours on the beach

djs i can remember seeing:

dave pearce - playing banging (badly mixed) hardtrance at 2pm in the afternoon, warming up for shapeshifters... 2 thumbs up dave

markus schulz - expected to be bored to tears by him but pitched up on a huge soundsystem that music is pretty danceable

above & beyond - played some decent stuff but a fair share of cheese too

jon o'bir - awesome, really expecting big things from this guy! was quality throughout

jules - nothing special though the crowd seemed to love him

tiesto - played on the beach from 8:30 til 11, as night was falling.. atmosphere throughout most the set was nothing short of electric... started out a bit ropey but got into it after about half an hour, was really good from then on

armin - rubbish .. not normally a fan of his anyway but will admit he played a decent set at last year's global... this year it just felt like a 'best of asot 2005' jukebox selection

paul van dyk - very good, one of the best sets i've heard from him, besides one sound cockup which caused one track to cut out midway through

fergie - most godawful hour of mindnumbing noise i've ever had the misfortune of hearing... couldn't even dance to most of it, with the exception of 'praiseworthy tunes' played at hardcore speed towards the end

eddie halliwell - good set if you ignore the fact he played at well over 150bpm in the trance tent. some of his tricks are getting a bit stale now too

I just arose from a pretty long sleep! (Half 3pm till half 10am) due to being up for around 33 hours!

Loved the event, got there when it opened, went over to the "beach" and saw Dave Pearce performing to about 6 people! Then went over and checked out the empty Godskitchen arena. Had a bit of a wander around and then went back to the Godskitchen arena, caught the end of Emjay, who I'd never heard of but sounded pretty damn good, all of Schulz was awesome, Above and Beyond were also fantastic. Missed Jon O'Bir because we went to get some food and have another wander and checked out the other tents. Went back to Godskitchen to see Picotto, but he sounded pretty poor to be honest, so wandered to the edge of the beach, and listened to about half an hour of Jules while sitting on the grass, then joined the croud for Tiesto.
To begin with (I don't know whether it was my distance from the stage or what) but it sounded shite, but once he played suburban train, and we'd moved a bit closer it sounded great. Adagio to finish was pretty cool aswell.
As soon as the screen said "the end" we ran back to Godskitchen to catch Armin, who was also awesome, but we were pretty knackered unfortunately so I couldn't really appreciate it with any dancing (got up at 5am, travelling from Ipswich), the same went for PvD really.
Fergie didn't appeal to us much, so we went for another wander, and got some food and stuff.
At about half 3 we left and got the bus back to the station. Sat there for hours, but it was a guarantee that we'd get on the train.
I'll post some photos later.

Saturday was great!
Got there about 3pm and first stop was the Radio 1 Stage, Dave Pierce was on and it was quite nice to see people dancin away at that time of day, not crowded at all which was nice.
After that went for a wander and then to the Godskitchen arena to catch Markus Schulz, he was great! Decided to stay there for Jon O'Bir, also amazing plus he played all of my current favourites.
I was looking forward to Above & Beyond and I wasn't disapointed, excellent interaction with the crowd and it was clear they were having a great time too.

Then left to get a drink as I had no food or drink since 8am and ended up in the MixMag tent where Tiesto signed my program , really nice guy, chatting to everyone and asking what tunes they wanted to hear him spin.

After a quick drink I made my way to an overcrowded The Beach and since I had lost my party friends somewhere in the crowd and had seen Tiesto recently, decided to check Marco V instead whom I hadn't seen live before. Another great performance, one of my favourites that night!
Ferry and Armin (I've never seen somebody smile so much!)were next, and played really good sets. I hadn't danced so much in months! Also got to chat to some really nice people from Ferry's Forum, who were IDing all the tracks.

When PvD came on it was just getting silly since I couldn't practically move, so I had to get out and listened to his set from outside the tent. Some drinks and chips later went back to see Fergie... who just made me want to go home...absolutely horrible!

By that time I managed to track my friends down, only to find out they had sneaked into VIP Anyway time to chill going to check the rest of the tents and just relax for a bit, since my feet were killing me. Caught the last part of Danny Howells in Babooshka and that was it.

Overall I had a blast, nevermind the food and drink prices... 3 pounds for an ice-lolly!!!
