ya i think i saw it in the movie supersize me. now sure they wrent talking about so much powerfull stuffl.. but im sure it can heal itself. myabe just not fast enough ? i dunno this whole topic gets me sad

Well if he were older it wouldnt be as much of a problem but he is only 5 years old so it would definetly hit a childs liver harder than it would and adult and I just hope he is able to take it if it comes to that.

By the way I would also like to let you know that the ingredient Thimerosol is STILL in some vaccinations such as the flu shot and it has not been taken off of the market. If you know of anyone with similar conditions let them know NOT to get the flu shot or it may make things worse. Also if you know anyone with children born from 1989 through 2003 and they have any type of mental problems or delays in development they may have been affected by this too. Please tell them to get theyre children tested for mercury levels just in case. Better safe than sorry.I know that vaccines are a precaution but please be weary of them.

I just hope that the stupid law Bush is trying to pass doesnt effect this situation, but he is trying to pass a law that will prevent people from suing large corporations and these people deserve to pay for what they have done.

It's interesting the Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was on Jon Stewart talking about the Thimerosol issue on a re-run last night. I think it originally aired last week. He was bringing up many of the same points that she's mentioning.

Also, while I know that mercury is bad, are the levels that your son would have now going to affect him as highly as in the early developmental stage (let's say infancy - 3 years). It's not as if the mercury level is still causing the autism, it WAS the cause, right? If that's true, it may be better to not have the detox. Are the mercury levels that occur when Thimerosol breaks down much higher than what occurs with eating mercury tainted food (i.e. some types of fish)? I guess these are all things that you'll be discussing with your son's doctors, but some things to think about.

I saw the original airing of that show, as well as many others including on CNN. Medical professionals supposedly have no answers as to where autism came from so the thimerosol is the only logical explanation and the proof is in the numbers. Obviously medical professionals cannot admit to that because they can be sued themselves.

I'm not trying to undermine or play down the situation about Mercury. Z, as you know my daughter also falls into the same timeline of getting immunization shots containing Thimerosol. Check out this link.

Aparantly(unless I'm reading it wrong) there have been thimerosol free vaccines available and it was basically the physician's choice to use them. Now, any MD that would use the thimerosol containing vaccine over the thimerosol free one should be MURDERED!.

On a different note. Exposure to Mercury is right at our fingertips daily. ANyone who eats seafood Fish & Shellfish. There is something called methylmercury that is found in many types of fish that remains in you bloodstream for many years that has potential of exposing a child to mercury before they are born. He hasnt has the same pedicatrician his whole life so it would be much easier to just check his blood for mercury levels which is what I intend to do asap as soon as all the school stuff is wrapped up. We are going to visit the school prior to his attendance so he can become familiar with the building etc. His social worker is awesome and we found out she actually works in the school that he will be attending so she will be able to pull strings for us and she even gave me her home #. The reginal director of special education even attended our recommendation meeting because she met my son at a local meeting and took a liking to him.

The phsycologist that conducted part of his evaluation was unable to be present at the time so there was another one there in her place that was unfamiliar with my son and he said from the report he thought my son was going to be much worse that what he actually saw for himself for observation. The phsycologist that was there says he works in a school for all autistic children and he said my son shows alot of potential in comparison to the children he works with on a daily basis. Theyre original plan from the first phsyocologists report was to put him in a special school but since the second psycologist disagreed they decided to go with a less restrictive choice which I am glad for because the first phsycologist made his report look really bad and not saying she isnt good at what she does but she didnt look a year older than 25 so I doubt she has much experience however the second one looked like he was in his 40-50's and works with children with the condition so he is probably more knowledgeable.

Then that should make teh transition much easier for him. He'll feel like he knows someone rather than being placed where there are no familiar faces.
