I am not 100% on whether I am going to go through with having one, so I am open to all suggestion.

My tattoo idea is highly unique and very personal. I don't even want to share exactly what it would be, publicly.

Anyway, I was thinking the ankle is a little too easy to be covered. I mean, who looks at your ankle, especially when it's hiding behind socks all the time? Keep in mind, I live in Canada. I wear sandals like, two months of the year.

I really appreciate the replies, they are helping me out. I am feeling very nervous about it now.

Well all I will say is this, a tat is the longest committment you will ever make (assuming you don't spring for laser surgery removal). If you feel comfortable enough making that kind of committment than go for it. If you're looking for a location that is NOT easily covered, realise that in every future social situation you effectively make it that much more difficult to hide it from those you may want to keep it from ... whether that situation be from a professional standpoint or a social one. Good luck on whatever you decide.

I guess I feel like you in a way, im getting one and have been trying to draw one for quite some time and its very tricky to find just teh one. I thought Id stop by a tattoo shop someday and just check some tattoos, take some pictures and make my own out from the ideas I get... it is at least some stage furhter to my tattoo

And just one more thing about where to put it. I find it fancy on the back, well not at the back put kinda on the side, in between your stomach your back, but more to your back than your front.

Then seeing a woman with a slight brown tan wearing a white shirt, and the you see this HOT tattoo under it

Well, ok, that is one of my biggest concerns, is that when I am older, I will regret getting one. However, my tattoo idea is no where near that large. My idea fits into about a 5 x 5 cm square, if not smaller, so the distortion shouldn't be completely awful.

This isn't about being "cool", it's more so about wanting to have something to express myself, and symbolize what is really important to me.
