Nick used to be my resident dj and i never saw him do a shitty show! I can't even explain how much i miss the days where i could see Nick every few weeks!

My trip is pretty much sorted so GET READY CALGARY!!

LOL, My friend was asking me " you've never seen a real life cowboy before have you".... ummmm no! So she said... " you might see one at the airport" hehhehehhe that should be funny.... I might need a cowboy hat to blend in.... but it comes off at the club!

at any club during stampede that is the only thing you will see girls wearing.

but since it is a ticketed Dj event, not as much, but there will be lots.

I'm not trying to earn any hottie points I really can't see myself in one of those hats though! Whats the average tempurature there at that time... probably hot and dry?

the weather is kind of stable now

july will be hotter, nights of about 10-15 degrees, days of anywhere from 20-30.


it really flucuates ALOT.

somedays last year we had nights of 2-3 degees and then the next day was 30s and nights of 15s-20s


its usually quite hot though definatley pack some shorts and tshirts but be prepared with some pants and long sleeved shirt because it can get cool quite fast.


i think 3 or 4 years ago we had snow every month?

It's not that volatile. I've lived here my entire life and have only seen snow in the summer once. It was in late August of '92 I believe.

No matter what the temperature is outside...it will be super hot in the club.

I'm going to have to come out of retirement for this one.

The last time Nick Warren was in Calgary he was here with Jody from WOW. This was back in 2001. It was one of the first Gold Club Jet to Ibiza parties at the Palace. Anyways, I remember going to a really really crappy party the night before where none of the headliners showed (probably not even booked for that matter) and he came in on Sunday and rocked the house so hard with his brand of progressive house. Loved it and been listening to him ever since.

As for Zabs, after seeing this video he made showing how to manipulate different samples on the spot using some fancy mixer and Pioneer CDJ's, I can't wait to see him. This guy and other's like him are definitely the future of live electronic dance music shows.

That was a good show for sure..I miss the Palace events. That wasn't the last time they were here though. Way Out West was here at the Whiskey last May...May 9, 2004 to be exact.
