So, this was the second clubbing visit to New York I've had and it was very interesting.
First, the G&D SET was amazing at SPIRIT! That place has an amazing sound. I couldn't believe all the throwbacks to two summers ago (ex: As the Rush..., Southern Sun...,etc.)! I came with a my girl, a ny girl and my bro and we all had an amazing time until some idiot got all cranky and almost started a fight with my bro about standing on something. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but it sounds as if the midwest charm was working on a city girl and some dude wasn't having it. Anyway, I wasn't able to stay for Schultz's set, I'm sure it was amazing though (his sound levels were amped atleast twice that of G&D). I was dissapointed when my friends asked me to call it a night, but great club, amazing music, overpriced drinks, and an interesting night all around.
Then a week later, I saw the Hernan poster on some wall during my return trip and hiked out to Crobar with a few friends. Too bad though, it was already 1am and the line to the club was rediculous. So needless to say, we did not go. We debated about Spirit again with Burridge, but decided to venture onwards. I'm pretty confident by the sounds of the back doors to Crobar that we missed out.
Finally, wanted to go to Deep Dish, but didn't. Drove home instead.
