Yeah, I'm really new to the scene so it seems like the big names are here every weekend in the summer, but otherwise it's about once every month-2 months...
...it's funny how the grass is always greener...I always wanted to attend one of those crazy huge parties that you see in Tiesto pics...where there are rolling hills of people...the vibe must be disgusting...and I know Europeans are so much more laid back than North Americans, so partying with them would redefine the word "partying" for me! |
Haha yeah, definitely!
The thing with the big indoor parties in Holland is that Trance (and Dance in general) is that it's getting so commercial! In 2003 I was at Innercity in the Amsterdam Rai at Tiesto's show, but half the crowd wasn't even dancing... No matter how awesome someone spins, it's not good for the atmosphere.
There are still some bigger events which have an underground feeling, like Awakenings, which is Techno at it's finest. They aren't very actively promoting these, because the real fans will come anyway
And I think with a smaller scene, the advantage is that the majority of the people attending are really there for the music and the partying.
