ummm..... I would hope its like that for any "Professional DJ". if you are still struggling with trying to beat match then maybe you should not be playing. Train wrecks will happen and occasionally records will have a skip it in that you cant control, but if you are exerting a great deal in beat matching.. stay home and keep practicing buddy! BTW, I'm no professional so I'm not speaking for myself.

I'm wondering how many people who are attempting to discredit LIVE actually know how to use it, what its capabilities are, and are somehow intimidated by the prospect of having to learn a new technology from the ground up.

Love it or hate it. This is the technology of the future, and it is only the first product of many that will be released that challenge the status quo. Like it or not, the world of electronic music is based on technology, and anyone who wishes to compete in it in the future will either have to embrace it, or be left in the past.

I think people will start embracing Live more when they start building cool control pads and its not just like a straight up laptop. For now I dont think people are ready to accept laptops as the primary format/tool for DJ's. They feel they are getting robbed. For me, I dont care as long as the dj throws it downs and doesn't forget that he is playing in front of a crowd and not in their studio. Sasha has a controller but it's pretty gay. I'm talking cool looking keypads that have 5inch lcd screens and lots of cool lighted keys/pads or something along those lines. but laptop/computer mixing is still in its infant stages and is years away b4 it is a commonly accepted format for dj's to use.

Controller shouldnt really matter IMO as long as it gets the job done and people see that it is actually affecting the music. The new Allen & Heath Xone 3D looks AWESOME though...

It shouldn't matter but if you dont have any dj experience and are just a fan, then it does matter. part of seeing a dj is watching them work the crowd, not work the computer. it's cool to see a dj release vinyl or slam the play button on the cdj. but until they have cool controls to slam on to work with tracks, people just dont understand.....
