First of all, about him being commercial, you guys just wanna' start a flame war. To be successful in this thing called the music industry, you have to make music that people like, or they don't buy your stuff. If they don't buy your stuff, you can't eat. EVERYONE IS COMMERCIAL IN A SENSE
Andy has definately amazed me more than once. The fact that hes pumping great tunes out like crazy is astonishing imo. Not only is he doing with his Andy Moor alias, but also as Leama & Moor, Whiteroom, and Tilt. This guy pwns

actually he does have talent but he uses it in a wrong way. as do many other producers. for example Sasha, Holden etc. Instead of making cool stuff they make boring sleepy music not suitable for dance floors.
they must suffer from some severe insomnia.
maybe making "danceable" music isn't neccesarily always their aim. Whats wrong with that?

That is one thing I dont agree with. If they are dj's then they should be making danceable music. Although I find almost anything danceable so here I go contradicting myself.

I think all this argument comes down to taste, anyways what is Andy Moor's best track in your opinion?

the way I see it the BIG djs of today are divided into two paths. first we have the sleepy slow shit played by Holden, Fake, Holden etc. Then we have the utterly boring cookie trance played by A&B, Armin, Ferry etc with 2 min buildups, 5 min breaks with no beats (where everone can take a piss brake until the beat comes back).

you seem to be refering to the Sasha and Holden of 3 years ago. Sasha may still play some odd "sleepy" stuff (and once again i'll say i'm not enjoying at all his current style) but Holden?! he has gone electro-acid-crazy. and again, if they play those tunes in the dancefloor is because they think they're a bit danceable at least, and they might trying to achieve something else apart from dancefloor crazyness
as for Andy Moor, i enjoyed back then the first bunch of his collaborations with Leama, then it all went downhill being that major pile of wank the Ridgewalkers - Find remix the highlight. he has certainly more talent to produce than i'll ever have, and probably enjoys what he's doing (ie, not doing it for the money but for the fun), but i still think the last couple tracks i've heard of him (thankfully that was a couple months ago already) were totally shit.

I like most Leama and Moor stuff. 8/10 as a duo

nah im refering to the Holden of today, 3 years ago Holden did banging stuff like Solstice etc.
although Andy is talented I still think Leama is the main man.
he put out some good shit on Platipus.

as much as i enjoy solstice i still think it's hell lot less banging than what he's playing nowadays just because it's slower in BPMs doesn't mean it's less banging. anyway back then a major part of james' tracklists was already slow repetitive dark prog-house, so i can only reach the conclusion that you're crazy
what in hell is Leama doing these days, haven't seen his/her/their name around for a while without being associated to mr. Andy Moor
