What are you going on about? Show me where he has slated dance music like this. Christ, he has even produced dance music of a similar standard like this that has hit the charts. What he has said before though is this:
quote:
Once upon a time van Dyk commented that "a little bit of cheese in a tune is important" but he has been far from impressed by some of the music that has dominated the clubs in the UK over the last 18 months.
He is being a bit of a hypocrite recently playing records like Andy Moor after slating these type of tracks in the past, but not with things like that.

PVD: "Well you know the thing is there is only good and bad music, I don't really care if a really good club record and a very high quality of electronic piece of music suddenly is getting succesful in terms of selling alot of records and being commercially successfull then i don't mind. The thing is you know the stuff that I don't like is this really cheesy nonesense danceable pop nonsense."
Unless he's referring to Justin and Britney, which have nothing to do with the electronica scene really, i would assume hes referring to cheese dance music.
Its been sounding like were creating them rivals now .

I suppose this one is a bit of a blatant dig at Tij, now Ive listened to it fully, but I happen to agree with him so me and Paul are still tight

PVD: "There's only good and bad music, If its good and becomes commerciay succesful, I dont care"
Sunlight is a good example of this, I like the track too.
I think what he refers to is more stuff like Special D/ Bass T/ underground shite like the majority of modern scouse house (cheeky trax/ alex k etc....)
