i concur. well done! i smoked 3 cigarettes between 7th november & 24th december. i thought i could have a casual smoke over christmas, and ive struggled to give up ever since. the problem being when youre only smoking 2-3 cigs a day, well fuck if you dont just love every last drag

edit: and nicotine patches itch

My husband read that book, was all keen to stop smoking, yada yada... he lasted 4 days.

He's "quit' pretty much every month for the past 3 years and never gone longer than three or four days. He's tried patches, lozenges, giving me the cigarettes to hide and bring out in case of "emergencies", cutting back, delaying tactics, the "stop smoking in one hour" hypnotherapy sessions - which were a screaming success, he bought another packet the very next day - everything. Everything short of NOT PUTTING THE FUCKING THINGS IN HIS MOUTH AND SMOKING THEM.

I'd be a bit more relaxed about it if it we could actually afford to be sending $30 a week up in smoke.

Sometimes I wish I was a smoker, partly so I'd understand properly, but mostly so I can quit and prove it can be done.
