In my humble opinion...this was a fucking great night!
I must say that I had debated going to see Tiesto @ GLOW, considering all the bad talk about Tiesto's sets as of late and my disappointment with ISOS 4. Looking back, I must say I'm so glad went to see Tiesto after all! I had a wonderful time! While Tiesto's set was not as flawless as his sets in Miami or his sets @ Insomnia, I definitely enjoyed Tiesto's set much more than his previous GLOW appearance in February!
I was @ FUR around 10:30 and I was so ready for this night! Dan Sampson was once again opening up with a great set. I caught up with my favorite bartender (the lovely Maria) and with most of the GLOW boarders I wanted to see. I started off on the first of three Red Bull/Stoli Ohranj. I was already in a great mood!
I'm glad that Tiesto didn't waste too much time with downtempo tracks, such as most of what I remember from ISOS 4. After 2 AM, Tiesto was ON!!!!! Tiesto surprised me when he dropped his remix of Conjure One - Tears From The Moon, which is one of my favorite Tiesto remixes and always brings back memories of his set @ Space Miami in March 2004. Not long after, Tijs dropped another favorite trance classic...Holden & Thompson - Nothing! Another surprise was hearing Olympic Flame! From then onward, it was nothing but relentless hard bangin' sounds! I absolutely lost it when Tiesto dropped Traffic...my most favorite Tiesto track ever! Tiesto just about brought down the house with that one! Toward the end of his set, Tiesto surprised me with one of my favorite tracks of this year...Ernesto vs. Bastian - Dark Side Of The Moon! I was screaming the chorus to this song...I didn't want to be anywhere else! This was my favorite moment of the night! I got exactly what I wanted...an excellent night in the company of friends, enjoying a set from one of my all time favorite trance DJs!
Great seeing bigjimslade, sammy and cougardan, josy, fireboy dancer, and a few others from the GLOW board!
