Mara - One is available on djdownload.com. Considerably cheaper than vinyl

bugger that vinyl all the way, it is so much sweeter finally getting it after chasing it for ages and looking everywhere to get it than simply downloading it and putting it on cd. although you are correct on the cost issue, probably explains a few money issues i have

Yeah, I first started out with vinyl and just couldn't afford it - sold a fair bit of stuff I wasn't playing and used the funds to buy Serato. Now that's some awesome stuff - best of both worlds (sort of) It does take away that very satisfying 'finally found it' feeling though.

Yeah its pretty good - the other thing is that I've become much more selective in the tunes I'm buying since I started using it. I used to buy a fair whack of stuff that was reasonable, but not brilliant because it can be difficult to get it once the initial release is all gone. I reckon if you were to couple Serato with Ableton as a production/remix/re-edit tool (not for playing out) you'd have the basis of a pretty formidable system. All in a 15" powerbook! I did actually play with a demo of Ableton, but I'm not real sure I'd use it for DJing - I really love the way vinyl handles....maybe if you could rewire Serato to Ableton......

Hey Soups I will keep a lookout for Jon Vesta - Gull & Mara - One (Hamel's Implant Remix) in my searching, and if I find them I will let you know.

Haha had 4 copies of Gull once. Gave one to Cam, one's almost unplayable after a bit too much use and the other two sit here in pristine condition.
One of my most favourite tracks ever.

Have the whole set on vinyl except for Last Trip To Paradise, came close to paying US$160 for it but chickened out (it's been on eBay twice in the last year and a half). Finished off my Tranceport collection a month ago by finally getting Dream Traveler - Time. <3 Oakey.
(But love sure doesn't come cheap.)

its oakey, it just shows that a great performance is not all about the mixing of one track into another perfectly, but song selection, timing, atmosphere and build up.
