Well look at that. Seems cool. A couple decades behind the times, but I say better late than never. Unless he managed to work some three minute breakdowns in there or some shit. Whiiiich he probably has. Otherwise, looking at it, it seems like he became a decent DJ once a year even if he did protool it up nicely. Not your average "only thing separating this mix from an unmixed comp is 30 seconds of overlapping intros/outros 10 track trance mascapade, and nothing separating it from every other mixed comp" type stuff, at least. Which by default makes it better than everything else he's "mixed" except for ASOT 182.
But like I said, even though it looks good from the amount of tracks, he probably managed to structure the thing like all his "normal" mixes. Could just be a gimmick, if it blows. Who knows. That's how mixes that aren't "standard" in some way go. If they're good, they're not gimmicks, if they suck, then it's just a gimmick. I even listen to hip hop, if it's mixed in this style (like the scratch perverts EM), and I normally stay away from that as well as neo-trance. At least mixed this way, the DJ attempts to keep my attention at all times, whether I like the music or not. I still don't really like "standard" "play them out" mixes even when the music is my favorite kind. I usually just keep and listen to those "standard" mixes to hear some individual tracks in the mix, like I would with an unmixed compilation, not for the mix as a whole. This could be good. And that's more than i'd say for any other AVB mix ever made. Hah. In a prediction on a scale of 0-10 of whether this will be good or not, I give it a 3.5. That's good, because every other CD of his I give a -9.
