Righ now I'm living in an area pretty much far from everything so didn't see that much at all compared to the usual.

Sander K + Astro & Glyde Nyc Crobar 1st of january my last night in New York before I left the country

Otherwise this was mostly in Zurich in Switzerland:
Mazi
Nukem ( resident over there so I saw him several times )
John Digweed
James Holden
Nathan Fake
The Glimmers
Felix da Housecat
Telepopmusik ( live act and wow it blew my mind! )
Pete Heller ( whom I wnated to see for a veryyyyyyy long time )
Steve Lawler
Roger Sanchez
Hernan Cattaneo
Eric Prydz
Jeff Bennett ( much respect for this long time producer )

I think that's pretty much it.

All in all a quality year and didn't over party by any means. Could have partied more but going out in Switzerland is a wee bit expensive and I'm usually lazy to go out these days.

Years favorite would have to be between Astro & Glyde opening for Sander K ( east coast openers do it better then anyone else ! ). Really liked the other nights but they didn't affect me that much and I had already seen several of these djs in the past already.

Ps: I did pretty much all these parties solo.

Looking forward to seeing Carl Craig Derrick May and Layo & Bushwacka in january.

This year has not been that busy for me, but i've still packed in a lot of DJs (most of the ones below I saw at least twice)

Sasha, Sander K, Desyn Masiello, Laurent Garnier, John Digweed, Steve Lawler, Deep Dish, Steve Angello, Paolo Mojo, Nick Warren & Jody Wisternoff, Eric Prydz, Paul Jackson & Darren Emerson, Behrouz, Danny Rampling, Danny Howells, Sandy Rivera, Yousef

The year began by seeing Luke Fair in London, an awesome night with my best mates and is finishing with Nic Fanciulli and James Zabiela on NYE. I have to be honest, there hasnt been that much good music lately - most of the above have dissapointed, with only Desyn Masiello and Steve Lawler being solid (and entertaining every time). Special mention must go to Laurent Garnier for some of the most awesome 6 hours of music I heard, in July (this man is so eclectic it's unreal) and also Danny Rampling, Deep Dish & Behrouz for the most dull and lifeless 2 sets I've ever seen (both at Ministry of Sound incidentally).

highlights:
-Ultra 7 and WMC 05, is REALLY the most wonderfull time of the year (take that x-mas!!!), I think is one of the most educated(in music terms) and most diverse crowd.
-LoveParade and afterparty, my fav set of the year by Ferry
-Tiesto at Space WMC, amazing 5hr set
-Memorial day weekend, saw armin at san francisco then a 9 hr drive to vegas, saw armin again and next night deep dish and tiesto, it was insane...deep dish rocked, I'm not even into house but it felt like they were playing progressive instead of house.
-gabriel & dresden
-Monthly dose of LEF, Ferry
-Sander van Doorn, did not see him live but his tunes rocked the clubs all year long: adrenalin, hoover, craft, eden, AKA.

thumbs down:
-armin, playing too many tunes that either PVD or Tiesto hammered before, shivers both the tune and album sucked.
-PVD at Space WMC, bad bad set.
-TIC LA, the circus show was cool but his set was only ok.
-Christopher Lawrence and Blank & jones, their sets seemed too much of the same, mono-tune

Was skint and looking for jobs for the first 6 months of the year, so didn't see much. I did make up for it with my Amsterdam Dance Event-weekend however, so the list would prolly end up something like this:

Vince Watson
PvD
Menno de Jong
Adam Sheridan
DJ T
Richie Hawtin & Magda
X-Dream
The Delta
Midimiliz
Chris Liebing & Speedy J
Shinedoe & Estroe
Solvent
Vector Lovers
Billy Nasty
DK7
Audibelle

Highlights:

- DJ T throwing it down big time in the tech/funk area and working the crowd into a huge frenzy before proceeding to belt out oldschool acid house goodness (including Adonis - No Way Back) and ending it all on New Order - Blue Monday. Bloody hell was I beat after that.

- The Delta, who's live performance was so harsh and psychedelic at the same time that I'm still trying to figure out what the hell hit me that night. Then, tumbling out of the fucking sauna that the club had turned into during the set, I got flirted with by a beautiful girl on wardrobe duty and ended up talking randomly to another one outside, which didn't exactly make the night any worse.

- Summerparade afterparty. Local talent nab the basement of a club and turn it into a sweaty techno dungeon like it's 1995, only with gorgeous women included. And as if that wasn't enough, Audibelle's 30 minute live PA contains some of the freshest techno that I've heard all year.

Living in Calgary we don't see as many dj's as other Canadian cities like Vancouver, Montreal, and Toronto. But here are the one's that I was able to check out:

Rank 1
Blank & Jones
BK
Nick Sentience
Bad Boy Bill
Lisa Lashes
The ThrillSeekers
Max Graham
Dj Sneak
Roger Sanchez
Kaskade
Carl Cox
Marco V
Anne Savage
Paul Oakenfold
Aphrodite
Steve Murano
Tomiie Sunshine (Awesome, Apparently has a huge following in New York)
Judge Jules
Dj Dean
Benny Bennassi

Missed out on:
Markus Shulz (Want to see him, heard mixed reviews)
M.I.K.E. (Seen him once already, was at the same venue as Markus)
Donald Glaude (Heard he rips it up pretty good)
George Acosta (Never seen him but I have always liked his style of trance, same venue as Donald but they had Sneak and Farina playing at another venue the same night. Went there instead and Farina no showed. Should of gone to Glaude and Acosta)
James Zabiela (Never seen him but heard he's awesome behind the decks)
Richie Hawtin (Seen once before)
Fragma (Saw a clip of the party when he dropped Toca Me, Damn I love that song)
Erik Morillo (Wish I had gone, heard he plays a very limited schedule now)
Yoji Biomehanika (Neve seen him but I wish I could of gone, I really like his productions)
Scot Project (Seen once before, same venue as Yoji)
Dumonde (I really wish I could of gone to this party. Considering they don't play much anymore. I heard they were amazing, as usual)

My goodness, this thread makes me bemoan the fact that I don't live in Europe *sigh*

I had a reasonably quiet year in 2005. Of the top of my head, I've been fortunate enough to see the following:
Dana
Luna
Kai Tracid
The Prophet
Zany
Danny Howells
Deep Dish
Krafty Kuts
Slyde
JDS
Technoboy
Luca Antolini
Yoji Biomehanika
4 Strings
Isaac
Alphazone
Breeze & Styles
Drummattic Twins
Hybrid
Freestylers
Crazy Penis
Nick Warren
Above & Beyond
Gabriel & Dresden
BT
Scot Project
Marco V
Ben Bates
Mauro Picotto
Scott Brown
Hixxy
MIKE
Jon O'Callaghan

Fairly eclectic mix there I know! Seeing Fatboy Slim on NYE. And NYD I'll be checking out acts like Evil Nine, Tiefschwarz, Stanton Warriors, Derrick Carter etc. Plus 2006 we already know we're getting AVB, PVD, Carl Cox. Looking forward to another year of partying
