Danny T played Guv once apparently, and didn't like it at all; and didn't come back to Toronto until Boa brought him in, in 2004.

True, but they'll still lose significant profits from the people who like to drink inside the club, and they'll have to factor in those lost profits by increasing ticket prices, and that WILL reduce the attendance.
i am just saying a shot a making it work would be worth it, especially if they have good enough booking power to keep things interesting for the people.Drinking before and partying after can still be fun.

Dude, all I'm saying is that it's not the end of the world. Those Dj's will be back; whether it's the Docks that brings them in or not, they'll be back. There's other very suitable clubs in this city for Danny Tenaglia and Tiesto, such as Boa, Sonic, This Is London, and Kool Haus/Guvernment.
Of course I'm fully aware of Danny T's disliking for Guv (don't blame him, either) so I guess that leaves 2 or 3 other clubs for him.
This Is London - I agree - beautiful venue......
I liked Docks mostly for the lack of attitude with staff - organization and space - plus the patio was WIKKID.
It is shitty that if it is forced closed over the Islanders that it will effect our reputation as a mecca for Electronic music parties in North America....
the laws in the US have forced these parties farther underground and they are not nearly as frequent and with such numbers....
Now I am missing the Automotive building parties........1997 10,000 plus those were GOOD TIMES!

...in other news after constant bitching and moaning from a small GTA-based community, mowing your lawn after 6PM is now banned.

DID anyone actually protest?

I usually only drink water at events cuz I don't really drink alcohol anyways so not a big deal to me..
I think what Montreal has going is great and all those clubs still manage to make money and stay open as well without serving alcohol
But I may see you sooner than you think Jay

Wow, this is bullshit. I can't believe this is happening. I had so many fun times at that place, and now the stupid Islanders are winning.
What can be done about this? I'm willing to put some time into this.
