When Industry was in its hayday , there were plenty of shirtless men...........so what. they kept to themselves and yes they were all infront of the DJ , but back then enjoyment didn't require you to mass adulate the dj by staring at him, or standing in front of him in hero worship ala Tiesto . so the straight crowd wasn't bothered with the shirtless parade in front of the DJ, you went for the music and you hung out wherever, there were plenty of hot women, muscle guys , straight people transexuals and the carwash crew. you must be homophobic if it bothers you BTW I hung out in the front sometimes and they never bothered me , although I have to admit i needed a shower afterwards.
diversity is what makes this scene exciting and better than the gino world of vaginos .
I saw plenty of hot women all night and had more than my fair share join me in the lighting booth, yes i saw the carwash crew , but so what they are entitled to thier music too, this kind of music snobbery will kill the scene.
Just remember the gay crowd were the only people who stayed true to dance music through the disco sucks days and it was this underground , paradise garage , scene that gave us the new york house we have today. OK no history lessons I know that house started in Chicago , but look to where people like Tenaglia , morales and calderone got thier influence. |
Good points!
