On my computer I currently have 280 gigs of music. I basically ripped all my vinyls, all my cds and any tape that had decnet sound quality. Then a lot of it is mix sets and shit like that and "other" music.

If I had 4 500gb drives I would probably have about 1TB of music. But right now I have...

1837 songs

OR

341 Hours,50 mins, 0 secs all stolen from the RIAA headquaters.

Seriously who here does not illegally download music?

It's a sad state of affairs when people measure their "music collections" by the number of gigabytes it takes up on their hard drive. Sorry, that's not a real music collection.

I remember the days when having a music collection consisted of owning rare copies of Beatles albums, or something of the sort.

me

I used to but now I rather pay for the artists works, I go to record shops, used CD stores (always a goldmine for those hard to find old CDs that are no longer made) and CD stores. I love the hunt of finding that CD that I neglected in 1999 but want now. Why download stuff anymore, I have not downloaded a single illegal mp3 in years and I intend to keep it that way. My PC has no mp3s on it and the only sets that I got are on data CDRs from tiesto, armin, pvd and many others and lots of old EM's from the 90's.
