Re: Re: Re: Anyone remember these Trance classics? :)

I think some of you have lost the purpose of this thread, because a lot of the latter posts mention tunes that I think most people have heard of.... :-)

its more to do with the ones that are forgotten classics (in my book)

I'll have to get some sound samples sorted out of some of my list, some of you are missing out on some amazing shit, particularly "Enervate" by Transa, one of my favourite tracks of all time.

those are some amazing tunes!!!

Unicorn is one of my favourites, such a belting track....sounds SO good played really loud! I'm very suprised that the track didnt get played that much, I first heard it on a Pete Tong Essential Mix believe it or not!

The way I see it, classics aren't just any old tune. They aren't even necessarily your favorite tunes. These are tracks that not only turned heads at the time, but are still turning heads now. Thus "forgotton classics" is something of an oxymoron to me. People likely don't remember these tunes because they may have been great when they first started hitting the floor, but they just aren't that memorable.

True, there are many tracks that should be classics, but aren't. In fact there are many classics that shouldn't be, IMO. The thing is, a classic is decided by the listening community as a whole, not by any one individual, so sometimes stuff gets recognized or forgotten that shouldn't be. You know what they say about the mob.
