I suspect you might get off on the charge of being drunk in public if you contest it, considering .08 is the limit for driving drunk. A law about being drunk in public has to be tempered with some kind of standard otherwise they could charge you for taking a walk after having a couple of glasses of wine with dinner. In Australia the legal driving limit is .05 and the guide to how much it is safe to consume is 2 standard drinks in the first hour and one standard drink every hour after that. To me it seems that with a reading of .05, while your reflexes may be hampered, you are still in complete control of your body and would not present any kind of nuisance to the public.

i was sleeping, not driving. i got drunk in public because apparently someone called in my car because they werent used to seeing them in that location... had i not alcohol in my body, i wouldntve gotten anything.

w/e ill pay the fines and avoid the popo but seriously... small town + petty crime = caught all the time.

rediculous how bored our police force is. i got a parking ticket the other day because i was 8 ft (horoz) from the end of someones driveway and the amount youre supposed to be is 10ft.
