but what often bothers me is that those Armada people seem to think that Armin is the only trance out there. Like that thread which was here the other day. A guy that thought trance began and ends with Armin. LOL!

totally agree with you. I am just speculating here - but for a dj to become so big by doing pretty much the same as other people has alot to do with the people around them and how they effect other peoples 'perceptions' of how big they are. If new people get into the scene and constantly see 'armin is massive' through various mediums they will believe it without even attending a gig or hearing a set/production. Thats one reason for my liking of people like moor as he is creating his path without marketing people and advertising campaigns on radio stations etc, he is doing it through his productions and his live sets....but each to their own, but im sure he has the talent to produce styles that you like too...its just at the moment his style is not to your liking.

With regards to making your sound more commercial i totally agree, its not to my liking most of the time..but some people have to cater to the masses..rightly or wrongly and i appreciate that. It leaves others to be successful in the more underground scenes.

I agree with this too but i cant keep comparing other styles to 'trance' and comparing them... and i cant keep diggin up the past and compare old with new..lets move forward and figure out the best way to move this genre forward. (and im talking about trance now..or whatever mcdonalds happy meal you want to call it this week)

How Moor moves the genre "forword" by copying the fisherprice pling plong sound of the 93 Returning remix of Nothing "over and over" again and incorparate it in every production (Tilt, Moor, ...) that got released the past year and a half,is beyond me tbh ...

lightweight pixie prog, not too far removed from Holden's sound before he grew some ballz.
