Yeah it was a pretty good day in the end. Still not really sold on the idea of daytime parties (I'd had basically no sleep and nothing to eat all day so I was tired and pretty fucking drunk by about 6 o'clock - a couple of red bulls and I was kinda okay though) but the music and the setup were great, no question.
Caught the last bit of Erik Powell after queueing for the toilets for about 20 minutes (there was about 6 dudes waiting outside, turns out the fucking cubicle was empty the entire time ) and he was playing some pretty slamming tech stuff. James Holden next was brilliant I thought - probably didn't have the same drive and energy that he did at Room last year, but it was a good way to start the day. 20:20 weren't anything special for me - didn't really find it any different from all the electro-house type stuff that's everywhere at the moment but I don't think I was in the for more than about 10 minutes at a time at that stage. In the VIP room Rex the Dog was pretty electro in parts as well but I got into it a bit more and Gav Keitel tore the joint up as usual.
The last two in the tech room were the highlight of the day for sure though. Wasn't holding out great hopes for DJ T cos I didn't think his sound would really translate that well to a big floor, but he actually played a lot of deeper more driving stuff rather than the ultra-minimal electro type stuff he usually plays. Really liked it in the end. But yeah, Joris Voorn - seriously, if you didn't like that then there is something wrong with you. Lots of his usual warped, loopy, beats and he really did cane it for the entire 90 minutes. Topped off the day real nice.

Haha nice one. Mad track for sure.
While you're on a roll, see if you can ID this one he played:

Pretty sure it's an older Voorn track, possibly a colab with Alex Kowalski. Tried browsing through samples of his tracks but no luck. :-/
Any ideas?
