currently, candidates get money from the government for elections which should continue. my point is to throw out the big contributors and lobbyists.

Public financing of campaigns has been thrown around for a long time, but for some reason, Americans don't want to see there tax dollars spent this way. One regulation would certainly have to be that each candidate gets the same amount to reduce favoritism. All money would have to be accounted for and any misspent money would have to be paid back.

People who spend more time worrying about re-election than maintaining a rational and balanced branch of government are not that worthwhile in my opinion
