trance died in 1998 |
I thought 1999 was the year of trance. it picked up in 1998 with for an angel and remixes of beachball. then in 1999 we had ferry's version of adagio for strings, moonman, johnny shaker, travel, how many more do i need to name.
trance has only subsided due to the cheese scene which exploded a few years back with alice deejay and scooter etc. so the producers had to make music to stem away from this thus, having the trance we have today. but we have to be happy with it at present because the cheese has now moved on to the house scene with the house market becoming more and more commercial. i think trance is better like this and the uplifting, driving stuff still gets produced.
