i dont know how one can compare a four hour set to a seven hour set. what a dj can do and plan in a seven hour set is almost infintely more than he could do in a set that was three hours shorter. its like comparing a sprint to a relay.
anyways most of us hardcore tiesto fans have loved him for years becuase of his tech style trance, which alot of people will descibe as "bangin" or "hard".and for you "fans" who've only been listening to tiesto since last month, tiesto isnt really known for playing "mellow" sets, his set on saturday would be somewhat of an anomaly, im sure he played mostly tracks from his new isos5, which is predominantly mellow, as were its predescessors. which comes as no surprise because that is overiding theme of the whole seris anyways. and although i like the setup at mansion, i long for the days when tiesto will return to a club like space and just spin a no frills set, looks like those days are gone tho.
this set was good, but for anybody who was at the last two sets at space during wmc, and who knows their shit, know that this set wasnt even close. imagine those last two hours on saturday and that was like what it was during the complete sets of wmc04-05. and those sets were 5-6 hours. BRILLIANT. this one was GOOD.
