I searched all over the forums and found barely anything, but bought them over the new pioneer 1000's and the sony v6's due to just liking the feel etc.
I can't reccomend them highly enough. My old headphones where the highly awesome audio technica ATH -AD700, but unfortunately tottaly inpractical for djing. I'm loving my pioneer se-dj5000's and just wanted to know if anyone had any opinions, or any experience of breakage. Casue to me they feel solid as. But yeah.. comments....???
Just another OEM product (same basic structure as Stantons for example), beats me why they ask so much money for it
Those comments about the "Exclusive Single-Ear Monitor-Use Shoulder Rest" are just pathetic imho...

And besides one year is a drop in the bucket. I've had my sennheisers for over two years now, but they don't seem to be falling apart any time soon.

the old pioneers i liked, used em for my first rave
i had to borrow my friend's headphones cause i only had V500's at the time
played at the afterhours club here and they worked great
I use MDR-V700's, and i've tried a lot of the other brands besides sennheiser because nobody has them around here. But who cares, they're ugly anyways.
The MDR's have been very reliable and have good enough sound for me. Plus i've dropped them a few times and nothing has happened.

love my ultrasone dj1 pro. one of those headphones you have to hear to believe. i had the pioneer hdj1000 before but after a while i noticed some strain on my ears, especially the right one. the ultrasones have a MUCH clearer, richer, mroe natural sound. also i noticed i don' have to have the volume up as high as i had to when i had the pioneers. definately worth the investment.

I own a the 7506, 700, and the Tehcnics.
Honestly, 7506 all the way. I had my pair since 1996 and it still works great. The only reason why I dont use them because of wear and tear. The cups are all torn apart.
The Sony 700's broke within 3 months.
The Technics, I had them since 2002 and havent had a problem with them. I love them too.
7506 or Technics all the way! When my Techs brake, I might buy the Senheizer or the 7506 again.
