Indeed. People must remember when discussing Mozart that whenever you look at one of his scores, you're looking at something that he held entirely in his head. Every single note. His peers spoke of his music writing style as though he were dictating. Where other composers had to write with a piano in front of them, Mozart needed only pen and ledgers.
Of course, this discussion is beside the point; Mozart was not a trance producer, he was a classical composer. Ergo, he did not create the best trance melodies.
As far as trance melodies, go, I'm going to have to say BT. Or, perhaps, Oliver Lieb.
