Maybe I need to change the battery....shit I've got so much music saved on it. Does anyone know where I can change the battery and how much it costs?
mine does same thing - also extremely horrible under cold or hot temp. - sucks it konked out literally just before I was suppose to interview someone one time - PAIN IN ASS!

Lithium ion battery lesson:
Charge the hell out of it constantly. Don't let it drain completely, if somebody tells you that lithium ion batteries (like in cellphones and iPods) need to be drained completely before recharging again, consider them a liar, disown them as a friend/family member/lover/acquaintance and have them shot by a firing squad. It is bullshit.

Oh yeah, between about 5° and 35°C is where you wanna keep your unit at. Any less or any more will affect the life of the battery.

Say, for example, you keep your spare mobile phone battery in the charging base while using another battery is used in the phone. Is there any danger in over-charging the spare battery?

Just hope that your charging unit has a cutoff point whereby when the battery is charged, the base stops supplying the battery with power.
