Well anythings better than having your belly hanging over your knees. I wouldn't take the shakes if you not gonna be working out cos they will make you jittery and fat.

Review Latest Track; Charlie Delta - Then The Days Where Long

Music is as universal to people as breathing. We've probably been at it since before we even started talking. Immaging two cavemen smashing away at a peace of flint to make a spearhead. It wouldn't take long for them to learn te synchronise the sound. And there you have it, the words first percussive band.

Music has survived wars, famines, the plague and many other things and has evolved with man across many cultures. Dance music is just the next step in the evolutionary chain. My guess is that it will probably be with us untill we are extinced.

Could of sworn one of these have been posted before or maybe I posted in the work out thread...

Isopure Zero Carb Protein - 2 scoops (100 calories per scoop! don't forget!)
L-Glutamine - Tablespoon in shake
Glucosamine w/Chondrin & MSM - 3 caps in shake
4 frozen strawberries
half a banana
3 ice cubes
1 cup of water
blend and devour! Day in and Day out!

I cycle the glucosamine in on the start of every off week. An off week for me is no lifting all cardio for 4 days of a week. I step off the protein down to 1 scoop and remove the banana. Add in the glucosamine for that week and then the 2month lifting phase after the week off cardio. After the 2 month lifting phase, I'll drop back into a week off cardio and drop the glucosamine for that week and back into a 2 month lifting without glucosamine.

Am considering small cycles of monohydrate creatine, any suggestions orbax? Currently 170lb 5'5" from 195lb approx 6months ago. Not a drastic drop in weight but i wanted to disgard some of the fat on my body, was able to get most of it off and still looking to redefine some muscle groups and add some size.

Muscle Milk is my fav but I also hear ppl like Pro-Peptide more because it has 3 different types of Protein.. where Muscle Milk has only the whey protein.

lol fat is fat...muscle is muscle. one doesn't turn into the other. don't u work at a gym?

anyway...didn't read through more than the first few posts, so sorry if i'm repeating.

i would recommend Myoplex shakes...at least for taste. and you should drink or eat protein within 30 minutes after your workout because that's when your muscles absorb the most.

and yea...it works, if you're trying to get lean mass.

that's all i know. lol

i dont think its health putting concentrated whatever into your body. eat a balanced diet and if you want xtra protein throw in a tuna fish sangwich.

actually that was my favorite thing to eat after my workouts...just tuna in water out of the can (albacore white tuna of course) and throw some lime juice, salt, pepper and diced tomatoes...great snack! and i think one can of tuna has like 30 grams of protein or something...

i never liked the taste of protein shakes...i always had to add stuff like a scoop of ice cream or frozen fruit to it.

it's not bad for you though igk...same shit. tuna, shake...same nutrients...it's not like you're putting all these bad supplements in your body that your body doesn't already produce (or break down) by itself.

it is healthy to put concentrated supplements into your body when your body "needs" it. ie: after/during work outs. You need to drink water, you don't limit yourself to how much water you intake, you drink to stay hydrated. With that being said, same goes for protein shakes, especially right after working out. This is why people "CYCLE" supplements, to prevent their body from saturating.

And remember, for every protein scoop you are taking in 100 calories. I agree a balanced diet would COMPLIMENT any workout/nutritional regime, it's just not the only way to live healthy.

Think of it inversely, working out and eating really fatty foods, basically a futile effort. Good work out habits followed by good nutritional diet followed by supplements do turn out really good results.

albacore tuna ftw

by bad i mean that things not found in nature in high concentration can tax your body because its overwhelmed with too much of a good thing. for example recent studies have suggested juice like orange juice isnt such a good for your body. The amount of sugar and calories in a cup of oj are astounding. think about how many oranges had to get squeeze to make that drink. Would you be willing to eat 10 oranges in one sitting? If you read the directions on these shakes they warn you that if you don't drink enough water you can damage your kidneys. People also often use these shakes as a subsitute for real food.

by the way...protein shakes are great if you're on a meth or coke binge and have been up for like a day or two and can't eat. lol

it really helps in the recovery phase after you finally crash and wake up from your coma.

when i used to do blow all weekend, we'd always end up back at our apartment on saturday morning at 8 in the morning with another 2 8balls and like 5 people for afterhours and i'd make everyone drink protein shakes. haha

Aren't you people concerned about your kidneys and liver?? It's not gonna be pretty when you're pushin your senior years. I don't care what you people say, body building is for superficial people...don't even give me that crap that it's "for your health", LOL.

Regular diet and exercise is healthy enough if you ask me. Anything beyond that is just vanity.

oh sorry, ms. perfect. lol

try growing up as a male being 6'2 and weighing about 140 and trying everything in your power to NOT look like a damn skeleton. or how about having a passion (and natural talent) for wrestling where you have to make weight to be in certain competitions. it's not always ALL about vanity. let's talk about every time you go out clubbing and put on your best outfit and do your hair and makeup. same shit, so shut up.
