Saw this as part of the 'all-nighter' at the Guelph drive-in. It was the second movie shown - and it was raining enough that we needed to keep our wipers & defogger on, and we still couldnt really see the picture itself. Most of the movie seemed like it was filmed in the dark, making it hard to see for us.

I guess we'll have to wait till it comes on video! My review will be very late so maybe I'll dig up this thread in a few months

I thought this movie was over half way through, then found out there was another hour to it. I'm afraid that what proved to be a fairly good and popular book, probably failed tremendously in the translation, because it was not a particularily good movie, at least not in the end. First half was great. Built up the mystery, plot, carried the story at a consistent tempo, then just dragged on for the last 30 minutes.

Didn't read the book...thought the movie was OK. Not bad, but not a GREAT movie IMO at all...meh.

I never read the book, but saw the movie tonight on ppv.

Cool concept they came up with, interesting story line with a few scary moments where you jump lol. It was long and my gf fell a sleep half way through it.

Just to confirm, the story is totaly fictional right ?

the story is fictional, but there are some facts in it.
read the book, it's much more detailed.
like many other movies derived from novels, it doesen't do the book justice.

Unfortunately the only reading that i manage to do, is school related
