I didn't say say convert, because I don't think that can happen. People will always have their own unique taste. My suggestion is the same as yours, just have your music on and you're set. Hopefully you don't listen to cheese, I don't know your girlfreind, but any real music appreciater can usually hear cheese after a couple of tunes of a specific genre.

I listen to a lot of downtempo and funky eclectic stuff when i'm just hanging around So it's usually pretty easy for people to get into it- But that's just me.
