your 117 lbs

so 1170 is your necesary calorie intake (any less, your body will break down muscle or fats to aquire the energy neeeded to function)

you probably use about 500 calories during the day just doing random shit

so thats 1670, and if you excercise lets bring it up to 1900

so you have excess energy of 800 calories that can be used to

a) be stored as fat
b) used in to build muscle with protein


again you probably have a high metabolism so these numbers are an under estimation, but your on the right track.. just try working out and you'll see major gains.

Well i'm 5'5 and about 112lbs....

Trying to get to the gym but It's always so nice out so I hate being in an air conditioned gym when I can be outside running/jogging and biking and such...my goal is to gain weight by the time I'm done with college, and be a little more muscular. Really muscular legs from years of track, but after I quit that I haven't done much...i'm a lazy ass!

my weight went down since i stopped running regularly and my mile time got better as well
