federer is great to watch so i wouldn't exactly call it the "dark age" he reminds me so much of samprus. plus it's not like he wins EVERYTHING he loses ever now and then. not that i wish this upon him, but he plays tons of tournaments and that is hard on the body so injuries are always possible which will leave room for others to rise.

Federer is an example of the perfect sportsman - Exemplary athletic fitness, 100% focused, takes the game seriously and displays minimal animation during his matches.

In other words hes fucking boring to watch.

lol... I don't wish the death of sports... just the NHL and the NBA... I love Tennis... but Federer must be stopped... I know it will happen eventually, but I think its time!

I loved watching Sampras, but he wasn't as dominating as Federer...

keep in mind sampras played against much better players. in my heart he'll always be the best. federer needs to do more in my book to be the best ever; he's great to watch and extremely talented but not quite the best everrrrrrr.

also, blow up the nba for all i care...

Don't blame NBA! I like basketball a lot. Also as tennis. You can wish death of MLB and MLF! These sports are really terrible with a lots of injuries.

Heh, who saw today's match Sharapova-Dementieva? Did you see naked man at the court? Commentator said it was second time at Wimbledon, first time it was at mens final Krajchek-Washington a few years ago. What a fucking crazy people live in our world, who can naked run to the court with a few thousands visitors (including ballboys & girls) and broadcasting worldwide!!! Sharapova must reach the title again, hate Henin! Federer at his best. Go go Roger!

Commentator said that Wimbledon will be the last for Agassi & Henman! Don't like both.

A few words about american tennis:
you have a big problem in womens tennis. Davenport and sisters have to retire. They can't play tennis as early. Fucking Capriati is out for a few years, maybe forever! How much money i lost on her matches. I would kill her!! So you have no opportunity to reach even top 30! In men situation a little better. Blake plays better that last years, Rodick can only serve and nothing better. Fish and Ginepri are shit and always were. Most likely US player Dent has injury and some operation! Still no opportunity to US to win major title for a 5 years for sure. The biggest reason, i think, that talanted people don't move to America anymore. As you have McEnroe, Navratilova e.t.c., who early played for another country.

i guess i haven't put my 2 cents in about wimbledon . my thoughts :

1. the mauresmo-myskina match was a dream come true for me . i still don't know how mauresmo pulled it off, but she did it.
2. sharapova doesn't look like her dominant self. she usually loves to put her opponents out with her quick feet, but it's not there for her this tournament.
3. american tennis is really at a big downfall at the moment. roddick and dent aren't the top echilion as the USTA hoped they would be. james blake is good, but he's not top 10 calibar in my opinion. as for the women's side, they're in bigger trouble than the men's side. capriati, davenport, and the williams sisters are all contemplating retirement from the game. who's next to fill their shoes ?
4. kim clijsters is contemplating that 2008 could be her last year in the tour. pretty young to contemplate retirement from the game, but the tennis circuit is a real big grinder for all the players. she wants to have a stable family with 1.2 kids and a white picket fence in front of her house.
5. once again. myskina and mauresmo looked hot today.

I'm assuming MLF = NFL or do you mean MLS? If you mean American football then the National Football League is king no if ands OR buts...also the whole injuries thing is irrelevant, that is why guaranteed contracts don't exist in the NFL.

no offense but that match blew like no other, i still cannot believed i wasted energy watching it...ridiculous unforced errors. it still puzzles me that mauresmo is #1 in the world, i refuse to believe she's that good and after today's match i still have my doubts.

as for american tennis the world isn't going to end without a top player...i still count sharapova as american anyway and apparently so does myskina

just my thoughts...

Yep. I mean american football. Hate it!

I'm so happy for Bjorkman. In 34 years he reaches his first grand slam semifinal! Also Baghdatis is a brick! Hewitt was an excellent player in 2000-2002, one of my favorites, but then he turned into shit. And now i'm glad to see him pulling out!

i've always hated hewitt, i don't even remember why anymore but i do. i DO like baghdtis though, he's full of energy and plays well. i loved that he beat hewitt 6-1 in the first.

as for the nfl it's here to stay; espn will pay $1.1b annually for the monday night football package and to me that shows how strong the league really is
