idk about prices in the third or fifth ward. thats a classy area just south of downtown. lotta art galleries and small little upscale retail shops and coffee shops and restaurants sorrounded by condos and apartments.
for that price you prolly wouldnt have a problem getting a place on the east side. if you can find roomates it helps. im in a house, basement, first, second, attic with 5 people. we get a $10 discount cause my buddy and me are sharing the attic(tight fuckin attic tho) and we pay 240 a month. the house is 1250 which is a fuckin steal for what we got. otherwise theres apartments all over the place full of students. my place last year was 560 but it was in Shorewood, the suburb just north of campus. it sucked tho. thats overpriced for what i got plus the parking situation in shorewood blows. if you're bringing a car, avoid suburbs at all cost. parking is tough and i mean TOUGH but you manage. it might take you a couple minutes and a 2 block walk but you usually will find a good spot. most streets have time limits tho but you can work a deal through the city to get a permit so you can park there whenever and however long you want. dono if you'll fit the criteria tho. theres usually streets with no time limits within a couple blocks. a year long overnight parking permit costs 36 bucks. a quarter permit is 12. if you park overnight without a permit, you either call your car in or you'll definitely have a ticket. 15 bucks but annoying. shorewood parking is 40 for a month and you have to park in designated lots. there no overnight parking on any street ever. i guess just search shorewest realtors site or ogden realtors site.
