I don't think you're being realistic with this. It would end up being us selling our tracks to each other if it was just us TA's. We would just be flooding a market that's too full as it is.

i agree here.

it is a nice idea, but then again i really think that if you want a release you will get one if you have the goods.

i think ta records(if it ever came about) would be quite low regarded because it imediately brings to mind 'amature' tracks. and the tracks that did get released would get released anyway on other labels..

if ta had been introduced 2 years ago it would have been massive!

@zodiac9 - If it's really a label for the TA members to release on, just to get our music out there in a nice package/presentation (nice website, clean encoded MP3 with full ID Tags etc...) it'll be cool too, and could be free of charge ...

But when the A&R is really tough, and everybody collaborates & we get mastered correctly - we could try to profile TA Records as the next reincarnation of Trance Music, not an "amateur" label ... come out as pro in the end... pressing the best records on Vinyl with the money earned from MP3 sales ...
Check out the total digital recordings website - they started as an amateur label, made the right choices, now they are a sub-label for Bonzai !

But yeah, i'm probably looking at it with total idealism - stick with your first idea... it's always the best choice ...

I don't think that was the basic idea really.
As somebody mentioned earlier in the thread, rigid quality control is essential to ensure credibility within the scene. TrancEaddict should definitely not sign anything and churn out release after release, like a lot of digital labels do at the moment.
