It seems to me this might just be a typo. I have seen this muzlogger thing before and credit was given to the original author. The link at the end of the tute to the ableton forum, talks about sampling and a search for uplifting with the author does not bring up this tute.

Just a minor correction: you probably shouldn't detune the Oscs by 5-6 semi-tones. Cents will suffice
