my list is indictative of my changed edm taste. nobody in the trance genre has showed me anything inspiring this year. the FMIF party at mansion this year with those first two^ really blew me away. i still love tiesto and ferry, and believe they can rock a room like few can, but they havent knocked my socks off this year either. never seen novy or prydz live, but have tons of sets from both this year and all have been stellar. just not feeling the armin brand of fluffy trance that seems to dominate the scene now. thats why you see smarter djs like tiesto and pvd getting away from it and trying to incoportate different sounds(with mixed results, but at least they are experimenting and being innovative and risky), because the trance/prog trance productions are such shite now. i can feel the flames coming
I agree with you too. BUT The only fluff/cheese trance DJ that has blown my socks off this year is Thomas Datt. He knows how to put together a great set. It has mood, ample tension and release. His transitions sound like the song never ended, and the tracks all go together well without being lame and predictable (unlike most sets in the genre).

I agree with you 100%
My entire list is completely different than last years...I didn't vote for ONE big DJ except maybe Markus but he deserves it very much.
The rest are DJs that I've seen live (exception: Martin Roth) whom I've enjoyed a lot & who can also make good music.

Truee. Perry has some great productions that goes not being noticed. Nice selection Claw. Except for PvD. But you must have a reason for your vote.
It really doesnt matter if you vote for people all the people vote for. It is the tops 5 DJ's of 2006 no the last 5 of a 200 list were asked to vote for. Of course there more people I would have loved to pick.

Worldwide.. I think Minimal had a lot more push then house... so my predition is that Minimal DJ's will get a big bump on the charts. ( Luiano, Ricardo, Sven, Richi, Magna ) .. I think thats my take on that.

lol dj mag is a bull shit list if u take it seriously i feel sorry for you.
TA proved it last year and will prove it again this year.
If you wanna waste your vote on a person who will get voted along with Dj Sammy, Ian Van Dahl, Tiesto, PvD.. then go ahead.
