HAHAHAHAA no i was referring to import but whatever.
i feel as though i've offended people in this thread or tried to flaunt my point of few.
i just wanted to get a better idea of some of your opinions and see where you think the music is going. ever since i really got into trance and house i can hardly listen to anything else in my liesure time. what can this be attributed to? |
Oh i didnt think that was directed at me
Im 20/m/school in guelph, live in oakville.
Basically i dont see how you can generallise that a large majority of people dont love music as much as you? I mean EDM isnt a pinnacle in music for everyone, it is for me, it may be for you. But lets use a example right now. Whats to say that a guy who listens to punk all day, plays in a punk band, spends all week going to punk shows, dresses like a punk (even tho its looked down apon in alot of buisness enviroments and so bassically is putting his music ahead of career at points) and who has chosen punk as a lifestyle. How can you have a hunch that he does not get goosebumps when he hears a song he loves. Just cause its a different genre doesnt make it any different, im sure he doesnt like the punk he hears on the radio, or the posers coming into the scene, but im sure he accepts that it also brings alot of good people to the scene, and helps it grow.

Yea i guess my passion for EDM has kind of blinding me from appeciating other peoples taste, or at least taking them seriously.
Do you think EDM will be as wide spread here as it already is in other countries?
