I think it's the club mix of fllo & Peri. the song was a bootleg before, fili & peri vs the doobie brothers, and I am not sure if that is the version morillo played or the actual original doobie brothers.
Or perhaps the initial bootleg of long runningtrain was the mix morillo played and now the official release has a different feel to it, like most official bootlegs do. But I would have to listen to the original doobie brothers song. |
i have the bootleg on mp3, and the official release on vinyl (and mp3 also). the official release differs. it's like iammesol says;

Erick played the bootleg, which sounds miles better than the club mix just released. If it sounds like some random guy is singing instead of The Doobie Brothers on this mix... then yes, it's the new club mix. |
the vocals have changed. the original vocals were much better, they simply MADE the track for what it is/was. i guess filo & peri couldnt get the permission to use the samples ofthe original (thats why the bootleg is unofficial i think), so they used someone to re-sing the vocals ...

hmm, would have to ask around for the actual bootleg version rather than the official release.
the HCCR - back in the day acapella also did wonders to the song. |
pm me for the bootleg release
