So, according to you, Madonna is eligible for best dance recording, because that's for pop artists, but she's not eligible for best Electronic/Dance Album, because that's just for dance artists.

If that's the case, then why were the Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim and LCD Soundystem nominated for both of them last year? Are they pop or dance artists, since you seem to think there's such a big fucking difference between the two.

Fortunately, the Academy doesn't consult you when it makes its nomination selections, as it disagrees with your notion of dance and pop being separate entities (psst: they aren't), thus violating your cherished musical identity that insists on listening to cheesy bullshit dance music, but not that cheesy bullshit dance music.
