and you're right about once u get a certain age, u don't have to take it any more. i was just trying to make a point in temperate's defense, because everyone was like, "dude, that's fucked up, that's your dad, bla bla bla" but really, we dont know what happened or what the situation is. what if his dad is a drug addicted asshole who abuses his mom? temperate, i'm just giving examples obviously. but all i'm saying is that i didn't judge him by what he was saying about his father. i just thought, "damn, his dad must have done some fucked up shit to him for him to be happy about a stroke"

I honestly wasn't expecting alot of the comments that are in here. I was expecting some stroke stories, like rainborn is doing.

are you being serious? you started a thread titled "LAUGHING MY FUCKING ASS OFF" and then proceeded to tell us that your dad had a stroke and you're as happy as can be about it, and you were honestly expecting people to be like, "yea i had a stroke one time it sucked" or "yea my dad had one too, but he's doing much better now"

lol

Yeah, man.

I just don't understand how people can make fun of someone being impaled with a stingray barb, and then turn around and tell me I'm an asshole for not giving a shit about someone I actually know.

Depends on what you mean, but considering we're talking about strokes and shit - Nah, not really.

I should have clarified, growing up were you able to use both your hands, for the most part, equally?

Yeah, was referring to that particular meaning of the word too. I'd say I'm a little bit above average? I dunno, never really thought of it...
But anyway, even after almost two years since I had the stroke, I can still see that I'm not ABSOLUTELY FULLY restored. For example, I can't fiddle with a pencil the way I used to. Maybe I'm SLOOOOOWLY recovering from it though, I don't know... I don't care either really, lol.

Slylee, I agree with you that parents who do rape or beat the hell of their children don't deserve to share their life with them. But the thing is, even though they do this to them, the children still got love for their parents. I mean, they know their parents have psychological problems but they still do love them in their own way. How many times do you see a sexually abused victim that didn't say anything because she loved her father/mother and was afraid of the consequences the denonciation's going to bring?

My point is, you can't wish your own family to die the most horrible way possible. Of course you do not relate to them as they did bad things to you but I sure do believe that if yo wished they would die badly, you are no better than them..you still have the violence instinct inside of you and you sooner or later explode it on someone else ---> how many abused children who became parents and abused their own children?
