wow, what happened to history?

we fought them before. 52,219 American soldiers killed in action. 103,000 American wounded. 8142 Americans missing in action.

there was never a peace treaty signed.

THE most heavily defended border on the planet, against a 1 million man army backed by China.

lets get some perspective here ok? before we go comparing apples to oranges.

i'm amazed Bush is actually standing up to this. no other American president has or prolly ever will.

north korea doesnt have the money to fight a sustained war. they can barely keep their citizens fed each year.

you don't think a regime like Kim Jong Il's has prepared to fight for a given length of time despite his people?

it all revolves around China IMO and whether they want war. IMO i don't believe they do...at least on those terms.

hey i'm no arts student but still...

i just get the feeling that there was such a big deal made about iraq which i think was pointless compared to north korea. clearly NK must pose a bigger threat to USA and the world than iraq?

from the last few days it seems china might have wavered a bit in the 'support' for NK?

in the korean war wasn't NK backed and supported by the soviets? that wouldn't be the case now is it?

also a 1,000,000 man standing army is an impressive number, a lot of them are conscripts though arent they? they might not stand up to the pressure if pushed...and you aren't going to face every man on one front.

heres what we need to do

get cnn to do a week long 24 hour spread on north korea and what a huge threat they are etc etc, so then kim jong ill thinks he is on the same plane as terrorists and bin laden. then he will drop back into the wood work and we wont hear from him again for a long while.

lets face it he is a giant asian baby who is just crying for global attention.....

yeah, a million man army thats never fought though. and i think they'd start dropping like flies when NK could no longer afford to feed them.

The Soviets gave them some advisors, weapons and a few pilots, but their main support came from the Chinese.

Human rights violation in Iraq >= Human rights violation in NK.

Bush has violated no less human rights than Kim Jong.

You are in two different subjects. Leave the War in Iraq out of this. Your arguments make no sense Purple. The whole world is againts NK here, and your the idiot to say that Bush has vioalated more human rights, get a clue.
